Tax year used: This calculator is configured for AY 2026–27 salary-tax estimation. The new-regime slabs used here are ₹0–₹4L nil, ₹4–₹8L 5%, ₹8–₹12L 10%, ₹12–₹16L 15%, ₹16–₹20L 20%, ₹20–₹24L 25%, and above ₹24L 30%, with 4% health and education cess. The calculator also applies the ₹60,000 Section 87A rebate where the simplified eligibility threshold is met.
PF: EPFO states that the standard employee contribution is 12% of basic wages plus applicable DA/retaining allowance; employer contribution is also generally 12%, with its internal allocation to EPF/EPS. Actual payroll treatment can depend on establishment, wage ceiling, voluntary higher contribution and other conditions.
